America Can Benefit

How can legalizing marijuana benefit America? Marijuana is legalized in twenty-eight states. In these states, they have not only profited it but some states have been able to lower their crime rate. I personally feel like the government should legalize marijuana in all fifty states because it could be very beneficial, we could potentially boost our revenue, use less money on organized crime, and reduce the number of offenders we place in jail for drugs.

The government spends a great amount of money on prisons, county jails, organized crime, and the war on drugs. Instead of wasting these funds on issues that don’t require large amounts of money, why not spend it on getting America out of debt or providing low income families with affordable health insurance. There are so many things America needs, and the government chooses to use funds on things that aren’t benefiting America or its people. According to the Youth Leader Blog, Law enforcement would be able to focus on violent crimes instead of arresting and filling prisons with drug offenders, and the police officers could potentially take drug dealers out of business.

Therefore, I agree with the legalization in the twenty-eight states and would fully support the government if and when they grant legalization in the next twenty-two states, because we could potentially profit from it and use the additional funds where it’s needed in America. The United States and American people could all benefit from the legalization of marijuana, whether it’s using recreational to treat cancer or controlling the use of marijuana for safety reasons.

Repeal and Replace

VP Pence announces that the Obamacare will be repaired and replaced by the spring. Pence ensures that Donald Trump is a man of his word, since he stated that when elected into office the first priority would be to repeal and replace Obamacare. So far our healthcare system is the same and the government has only been ensuring us that changes are coming. VP Pence released a statement saying "if there are ways to improve that bill and to give people greater confidence that we all are going to arrive at the same place ... then that's where we're headed." According to the FOX News the American people aren’t satisfied with the healthcare that Obama put in place, because they either couldn’t keep their doctor, the cost went up, or simply because they lost their insurance.

Using all the promises that Obamacare presented and didn’t deliver, the VP tends to team up with the health and human services administration to make changes so that our Americans could potentially have affordable healthcare.  This article “Obamacare replacement will be'all done by this spring” was a very informative, it expressed all the things that needed to be replaced and why. It ensured hope for the American citizens. For people like me that had to get Community care because we didn’t feel like Obamacare was useful, and very expensive. We felt like we’ve lost out insurance and support, Although I haven’t seen a reason to support Donald and Pence’s actions. This one i'm actually for, because I feel like some hope will be restored and the promises that couldn’t be delivered by Obamacare will soon be delivered once repealed and replaced. Donald Trump hated Obamacare which is the only reason his action is to improve what he feels is broken.
